I have been 100% impressed with the instruction that Isabella has received under Miss Jaye. In such a short period of time her skill level, improvement & interest has increased tremendously & I would like to applaud Miss Jaye for the detailed instruction she has been applying to her classes. There has been a world of difference from last year to this year as far as the general knowledge of ballet & movements. I have found that the instructional challenges that have been brought forth by Miss Jaye have been welcomed with open arms & are continually practiced at home to work on the "perfection" of specific movements, foot positioning, etc.

Mission & Philosophy

Mission

Napa Valley Ballet is dedicated to enriching the youth of our community by providing a quality classical ballet school for those seeking an education in dance. We are committed to maintaining high standards of technical training, fostering the love for ballet as an art form, and promoting individual growth, respect, and personal discipline. The quality of our program is designed for both the serious student seeking a career in dance or teaching as well as for the student who wants the benefits of ballet training that will last a lifetime.

Napa Valley Ballet was founded by, and is operated by our families. We are anxiously awaiting the finalization of our non-profit 50l (3)C status that was filed in October 2008.

Teaching philosophy

Students are offered professional level training that both challenges and nurtures.  Students are encouraged to work to their own personal potential, learning how to use ballet technique to strengthen the needs of their individual body types. While serious training is offered, the joy and freedom found in dance is also important, stressing artistry and the beauty of movement.  Our classical ballet program teaches focus, builds confidence and self-esteem, and improves posture and physical strength.

Napa Valley Ballet Non-discrimination Policy

Napa Valley Ballet admits students of any race, color, national
and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities
generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not
discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in
administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship
and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
