Volunteer Your Talents

NVB relies heavily on parent involvement in order for our school to thrive. As a parent at NVB,  we request that families participate with volunteer hours in one or more of our committees. NVB is a non-profit 50l (3)C organization. It is a parent driven school with oversight by a Board of Directors and the NVB Parent Advisory Council along with the Artistic Director. The school was founded as a result of our families who desired  a quality ballet school following the closure of Royal Academy of Ballet in 2006. Because of our families' dedication and with the help of the Napa Valley community, NVB has been able to grow our school with the excellence that originally inspired it's beginning. Parent Advisory Council

Be a part of managing our present, and shaping the future of Napa Valley Ballet. We are actively seeking parent advisors who can offer some time and insights in shaping the school's vision and overseeing efforts in one of the areas below. You will be fully supported by our Events and Marketing teams and by task volunteer parents.

Task Volunteers

If your time is limited we can use your help on an as needed basis on simple support tasks that you can do at home or on specific events scheduled throughout the year. Please read through the following list and let us know how you can lend a hand!

Volunteer Needs

Enrollment
Ongoing enrollment efforts are vital to the success and growth of our school. Share your ideas and enthusiasm. The enrollment Committee is responsible for keeping our enrollment growing. Initiatives may include tabling at the Farmer's Market, distributing flyers to pre-schools, shepherding the NVUSD flyer approval process and execution, etc. If you are interested in being involved with the Enrollment Committee, please send an email to advisorycouncil@napavalleyballet.org

Sponsorship & Fundraising
Do you have contacts, experience or creative ideas around fundraising? The Sponsorship & Fundraising Committee would love your ideas and energy. This committee is responsible for building the capital we need in order to keep the school operating, equiped and maintained. Corporate sponsorships are key to securing performance venues and sustaining our financial assistance program. Fundraising throughout the school year and at key times like performances serves program enrichment and keeping costume fees reasonable. Grant research & writing
Do you have grant writing skills? NVB is a non profit entity that reliies on grant acquistion and fundraising to continually enrich out program. If you are interested in being involved with grant research and writing, please send an email to advisorycouncil@napavalleyballet.org

Performances
Help our kids shine this year! Our performances give our dancers a way to showcase all of their hard work. Every family will be needed for pulling together everything from costumes to ticket sales. Please let us know if you are interested in being considered for the Performance Committee chairperson(s), or what special talents we may count on you for come performance time. advisorycouncil@napavalleyballet.org.

Events
Are parties and events your thing? We always need help in planning and pulling off successful events around performances and fundraising efforts.  advisorycouncil@napavalleyballet.org.

Promotion
We are always in need ofhelp  getting the word out, weather it be around enrollment, fundraisers, or performances. If you have skills that involve writing, pr, design or social networking please contact the advisorycouncil@napavalleyballet.org.

Communication
